Hollie and Derek had the loveliest weddings we’ve have the blessed fortune to photograph and this couple is one of the sweetest and funniest couples we’ve ever met! Hollie adores beautiful details and truly wanted to create a romantic and elegant environment for her guests to enjoy! The wedding ceremony and reception at the Portsmouth Women’s Club was breathtaking and beyond gorgeous. Hollie and her team of incredible wedding vendors went above and beyond and the wedding photos were beyond beautiful, I loved capturing every single moment of this wedding.
One of the sweetest moments of the morning, was seeing Derek helping his young son Hunter put on his suit. Hunter greatly enjoyed being with all the men as they too were getting ready for the wedding.

The afternoon ceremony was just as lovely, with all their friends and family in attendance to watch them recite their vows and promises to love each other unconditionally. Their officiant Ken Lane also invited the guests to share their best wishes to the soon to be Mr. & Mrs. Sellers, and a few jokes were shared as well. Both Hollie & Derek wanted to honor the children, Mady and Hunter and opted on a tree ceremony, where each child added some soil to the new tree and would then be planted at their home. The love Hollie has for the children is super sweet, Hunter never left her side for most of the reception and other than Derek, he was HER dance partner!

The cigar lounge was a definite crowd pleaser with all the guests during the cocktail hour..
While the guests were enjoying the cigar lounge and having drinks during the cocktail hour, we were able to sneak the newly married couple away for a few minutes to capture their first images together as husband and wife! Derek and Hollie were absolutely thrilled and Derek would continue to whisper sweet words to Hollie and make her laugh uncontrollably! It was such a great afternoon spending time with these two!
Our hearts and were swooning over the head wedding table, the crystal chandeliers coupled with the linens and floral decor was utterly romantic and breathtaking. Truly Hollie + Michele with her team from Morlina Events created a work of art! The vendors involved that helped bring Hollie’s wedding vision to life were outstanding, Alyse from Waterford Event Rentals created these elegant and stunning tablescapes for the wedding party and guests to enjoy! The lovely floral centerpieces were beautiful and the attention to detail was lovely, a big thank you to Botanique Events for their elegant floral designs!
A large part of Hollie’s vision for a romantic and elegant reception was created with the gorgeous and controlled use of light. The crystal chandeliers above and the accompanying chandeliers on the table added such opulence and sparkle to the venue, coupled with the beautiful lighting designs that were created by Blue Steel Lighting.
One of my favorite aspects of Hollie and Derek’s wedding was the unconventional yet sentimental touches that were included, since both are fans of cake, they opted to have their favorite donuts on hand to celebrate with! The couples and families and friends were loving the idea too and often times we saw the guests sneaking a donut or two! Together with the help from the wedding planner extradinaire Michele Carrizales and her team from Morlina Events, they helped create a wedding that was stunning in every aspect from the gorgeous and detailed rich wedding table to the lovely sweet touches that made their wedding one that guests and family were talking about days after the wedding! DJ Roger Cruz, from Astro Entertainment kept the dance floor packed all night long and when the guests needed to take a short break they greatly enjoyed stepping on the back deck of the Portsmouth Women’s Club and were treated with Doumar’s Ice Cream cones!
Hollie and Derek loved sharing their first dance with the children, Mady and Hunter, it was a great way to honor the whole family and Hunter just loved being in Hollie’s arms… Mady loved having this time with her Dad and it was very emotional and sweet to watch. After the children danced, Hollie and Derek had their own private moments together, dancing for the first time as Husband and Wife.
For their send off, Hollie surprised Derek (who is a firefighter) with a vintage firetruck waiting for them in the driveway to wish them away happily ever after! Mady their daughter, enjoyed the ride as well!
