A Reflection of our 2018 wedding season

What an incredible year we had with our Marie Violet Photography couples!  Last year we travelled extensively across Virginia and the Mid Atlantic for some of the prettiest and most romantic weddings we’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing. We spent many weekends away in Washington D.C, Baltimore Maryland and driving through the picturesque rolling mountains of Pennsylvania.  Our couples and their families welcomed us with open arms as we documented their most precious days.  As we settle in to the New Year and before we begin our new wedding season we wanted to take a moment to personally thank each and every one of our couples that honored and trusted us.  We gathered some of our favorite moments from your wedding days to share…  So here’s to a new year and new adventures, may you all have a lifetime of happiness, pure joy and endless amounts of laughter…. Hugs & kisses, xoxox.

Thank you to all of our lovely couples and a special thank you to all of the wedding vendors that worked tirelessly for all the many months leading up to the wedding day. Your dedication to your craft, your artistry and of course all your hard work that happens behind the scenes often goes unnoticed but is always and will forever be greatly appreciated.  We are privileged to work alongside so many talented vendors including, wedding planners, florists, calligraphers, stationary artists, makeup artists, hair stylists, florists, rental companies, cake and pastry artists, lighting technicians, caterers, DJ’s and live bands, bridal designers and bridal boutiques, ring makers and of course, we cannot forget to include all of our couples parents, families and the energetic bridal parties who helped make their days even more incredible and heartfelt.

Much love to you all and Happy New Year!

Best Wishes for an incredible 2019!

BEHIND THE LENS

ABOUT
MALIE

Adores long weekends with the family poolside, dog lover, and famous Mojito maker. Barefoot gardener, skincare junkie.

As a wedding photographer with over a decade of experience, I love to create beautiful, timeless imagery that captures all the emotions and feelings of the day. From the joyful to the sentimental, and the spontaneous once-in-a-lifetime moments that happen. I pour my heart and soul into each couple to ensure their wedding day is everything they dreamed and more.

I'm originally from Southeastern Canada and have settled in Virginia with my hsuband and three children. When I'm not behind the camera, you will happily find me in my garden or hosting an intimate dinner party. My friends will tell you I make the best mojito. And I've fallen in love with the art of sourdough. I'm a Libra-a hopeless romantic, and I believe that family is everything. And I will always think that retiring to Tuscany, Italy, and restoring an old villa in the countryside is a good idea.
