A MODERN AND ROMANTIC THAI INSPIRED BALTIMORE MUSEUM OF ART WEDDING
SUCHADA & KYE
Suchada and Kye wanted their wedding day to feel timeless and elegant. Modern and romantic yet still keeping with their Thai wedding traditions. With the help of Eventi Floral and Events they designed a vibrant spring lush garden inspired wedding at the grand and historic Baltimore Museum of Art. Our bride paired her lovely Hayley Paige wedding dress from Love Couture Bridal with cobalt blue Badgley Mischka’s heels and opted for a modern wedding cuff for the couples parents. A perfect mix of modern meets traditional Thai elements completed the overall wedding aesthetic. Our bride paired delicate heirloom jewelry pieces to complete her romantic wedding day look.
Our couple chose to have a “first look” and the hotel’s sweeping Baltimore downtown skyline was the perfect backdrop for our couples photos. One of our favorite moments from their wedding day was capturing Kye’s expression when he saw Suchada for the first time- it was such an emotional and beautiful moment to witness.
He was left utterly speechless by how beautiful she looked…
For their beautiful Thai inspired wedding ceremony, the couple chose the lovely West Lawn of the Baltimore Museum of Art that showcases the beauty of the museum with its grand columns and stunning architecture. To honor their Thai heritage they included a beautiful a traditional Thai water ceremony, that graciously invites all guests to join the couple and offer blessings and heartfelt wishes for a long and happy marriage.
For added romance, Ruby The Fox hand calligraphed a large fabric that draped over the ceremony space and acted as the focal point. Lush greenery and ivy was added to and Suchada favorite literary passage from Hamlet read,
“Doubt thou the stars are fire; Doubt that the sun doth move; Doubt truth to be a liar; But never doubt I love.”
– Hamlet, William Shakespeare.
This was my first time documenting a traditional Thai water ceremony and I must say, this was so beautiful to photograph. Each aspect of the water ceremony has a symbolic meaning behind it and every guests was welcomed to the Thai ceremony alter to pour water over the couples hands and give them a heartfelt wedding blessing.
The bridal party which mostly comprised of a mix of Suchada’s sisters and Kye’s closest friends. We loved the vibrant mix of colors and textures for the bridesmaids dresses.
The reception in the Fox Court was intimate and elegant and the beautifully detailed long tables welcomed their guests to dine and converse openly. The transformation of this space was beautifully executed by the design team of Eventi Floral & Events and they created a lovely space that was both classic, intimate and utterly romantic.
We are honored to share that this modern Thai Inspired Baltimore wedding is currently featured on the international fine art wedding blog, Magnolia Rouge.
