LISA | THE BRIDAL PORTRAIT

When you first meet Lisa, you are immediately taken back by her beauty and her warmth.  She is incredibly kind, funny and has this California-laid back style to her that is both inviting and charismatic.  When we first met,  I instantly thought of the beautiful and highly talented actress, Kate Hudson.  Yes, I am comparing her to Hollywood royalty- she’s just that cool!

Lisa is also a home body and wanted her bridal portrait photos to be relaxed, comfortable and effortless- so it was no surprise that she also wanted them to take place at her parent’s gorgeous waterfront home. She also enlisted the most incredible team to help make her bridal photos a success, with the likes of Kim Wadsworth + Yolanda from BridesMade for her hair + makeup as well as Barbara Anderson from Style Events,  I knew our bridal + wedding day photos were going to be stunning!

Bridal sessions are a great way to connect with your bride, together you both learn a lot from each other, I like to think of it as our personal dress rehearsal for the wedding day!  Having this special time together, allows me to make sure your comfortable in front of the camera as well as a few great tips and tricks to ensure you look beautiful in every photo.

Her Maya Couture wedding gown was the perfect choice and she looked absolutely beautiful! 

I’m all about ensuring our brides are having a great time in front of the camera and Lisa did such a wonderful job, we stopped for a short while, had some wine, put on her favorite music and let her be free and playful!

Originally from the tranquil beauty of Southeastern Canada, I now live in Virginia with my husband and our three children. When I’m not photographing love stories, I’m often found in my garden, crafting a new sourdough recipe, or hosting intimate, candlelit dinners—complete with my signature mojito. A Libra and a romantic at heart, I believe in beauty, balance, and the kind of love that feels like home. And yes, I’ll always think retiring to Tuscany to restore a sun-drenched villa is the dream worth chasing.
