An Elegant Upstate New York Wedding at John Joseph Inn.

Rolling countryside hills, beautiful views, and a gorgeous 110 acres English inspired estate, the John Joseph Inn is nestled in the Finger Lakes wine country was the setting for Chelsea and Austin’s New York State late summer wedding.

This couple met while attending their Ivy League school of Cornell University. They both loved the natural beauty of upstate New York and chose a breathtaking countryside estate of John Joseph Inn for their wedding celebration and nuptials.

With Olive Fine Weddings’s & Events planning, the couple chose a romantic color palette of varying blue hues, dusty rose, mauve, and maroon highlighted throughout the wedding day. Cascading blooms and lush greenery by Michaleen Florals hung from the outdoor arbor while beloved family and friends witnessed heartfelt and humorous vows. A dear family friend and mentor of Chelsea’s was the wedding officiant.

The couple chose a beautiful and scenic cocktail area and were encouraged to soak in the estate’s natural beauty, including sweeping sunset views over the rolling countryside hills, strolls in the apple orchard while enjoying signature crafted cocktails that the couple created for their wedding day. While mingling the guests were encouraged and welcomed to enjoy the sweetest RV camper turned photo-booth by Snapshoot Photos for lasting photo memories!

Classic beauty and modern elegance was the inspiration for this wedding day aesthetic. Our bride wore a stunning Reem Acra gown while our groom Austin, looked regal in a custom dark blue-hued tuxedo by Enzo Custom. Our bride opted for TWO first looks, first with her Father on the lush grounds of the Inn and then travelled to the iconic and scenic Libe Slope at Cornell University with her soon to be groom, Austin. Chelsea was radiant and beautiful with her choice of two bridal looks that were created by the wonderful team at Blush Makeup and Hair Salon. For the ceremony our bride decided to have her hair down with lots of voluminous waves and for the reception, she chose a classic updo that paired beautifully with her wedding gown! Chelsea was absolutely ready to hit the dance floor!

A classic 1937 Studebaker whisked Chelsea off to return to the beginning of their love story- she met Austin at the top of Libe Slope. It is a beloved and iconic spot at the university that boasts sweeping panoramic views of the campus’s campus and breathtaking views of Ithaca, New York.

The tented reception was intimate and elegant, with dangling chandeliers suspended from the ceiling, pops of midnight blue, dusty rose, and mauve blanketed the candlelight tables. The Silver Arrow Band entertained the guests throughout the night while the grand finale was a breathtaking and dramatic fireworks display.

This wedding was the perfect blend of Old World romance meets modern-day elegance. This wedding was a beautiful expression of fashion-forward femininity and utterly lush organic florals.

A fireworks display by Young Explosives ended the evening celebration as guests crowded together and watched the spectacular show. This beautiful late summer in Upstate New York was a beautiful blend of fine art and old-world romance.
