AN OCEANFRONT WEDDING

AN OCEANFRONT WEDDING PREVIEW

KRISTINA + BRIAN | THE OCEANAIRE RESORT

VIRGINIA BEACH, VIRGINIA

These beautifully wrapped boxes were awaiting Kristina on her wedding day from Brian, her soon to be husband.

“He spoils me..” Kristina said with a smile on her face.

“He treats me like a princess…” Kristina’s Mother that was close by and smiled in agreement, together with the help of Kristina’s Mom, Kristina opened her gifts one by one prior to their wedding ceremony.  Her gifts included a pair of Kate Spade “Mrs” earrings, a jewelry box with their wedding date engraved, a surprise coffee mug that when heated, showcases their favorite engagement photo and lastly beautiful lingerie.

The gifts were heartfelt and intimate, but what Kristina loved most was the hand made card and love note that Brian wrote to her.

The Oceanaire Resort is a modern beautiful hotel and was chosen by Kristina and Brian as their preferred wedding venue, this hotel boasts the most incredible oceanfront views and the decor of the hotel is elegant and chic, very much the tastes of our beautiful bride, Kristina.

The week of the wedding, Mother Nature had a different idea in mind and we were faced with a Nor’Easter approaching, the day of the wedding, we had severe rain and wind gusts- therefore the outdoor oceanfront wedding that Kristina and Brian dreamed of, was not possible. With all of these sudden changes, Kristina and Brian took it in stride and were graceful and calm.  They were getting married and that was all that mattered.

Kristina’s wedding gown was absolutely beautiful, the intricate beading down her back made me swoon and I couldn’t help but capture as many photos as possible of this gorgeous wedding dress that she purchased from Jeannette’s Bride ‘N Boutique and a special thank you to Liz Alfier and her talented team of Makeup and Stylists from Behind the Veil Studio for ensuring Kristina and her bridesmaids looked absolutely breathtaking on her long awaited wedding day!

Kristina’s wedding details were lovely, from her gold glittered monogrammed wedding hanger to her matching wedding T-shirts she and her Mom wore the morning of the wedding, everything was perfect and very much matched Kristina’s elegant and playful style!  The wedding bouquet was not only beautiful but it smelled AMAZING!  The scent filled the ceremony wedding room at The Oceanaire Resort- it was heavenly!

The wedding ceremony was lovely and there were many tears shed when Kristina and Brian recited their wedding vows.

The wedding cake was so sweet and I loved how they incorporated Brian being a firefighter into their wedding design!  They also had a wedding axe they used to cut their cake!  All the guests loved the idea and it made for some unique cutting the wedding photos!  The wedding reception was lively and very entertaining!  One of the most memorable and comical moments came from Brian’s Father who enjoyed the PhotoBooth props very much! This was definitely a great group of family and friends who enjoyed the celebration and festivities of Kristina and Brian’s wedding!

We ended the wedding night with a sparkler send off, no amount of wind was going to prevent this playful end of the night moment!  A big thank you to my amazing second shooter, Jerry Rodriguez for helping make this sparkler send off a reality!  We both enjoyed photographing this wedding very much!

Thank you Kristina + Brian for letting us be apart of this incredible wedding journey!  I can’t begin to express how thankful and honored I am for being by your side.  Much love and happiness to you both!

xoxo
