RUSTIC SOUTHERN OUTDOOR WILLIAMSBURG WEDDING | KINGSMILL RESORT

CHELSEA + SEAN LISSEMORE

Chelsea and Sean’s wedding was one of the loveliest Southern outdoor wedding we have ever photographed in Williamsburg, Virginia. Together under a gorgeous canopy of lush greenery surrounded by their loved ones Chelsea and Sean recited their wedding vows. The lovely Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Virginia was the perfect venue to celebrate their wedding and of course spend their July 4th holiday weekend.  Their wedding details were absolute gorgeous and I’m honored to share their wedding photos with you!

Chelsea and Sean are avid outdoors people and what better way to celebrate their marriage than with an outdoor wedding ceremony that was both elegant and had the rustic and glamorous touches that Chelsea and Sean adore.  Gorgeous burgundy blooms, wine barrels and a stunning twig canopy were just a few of my favorite wedding details from their day.

They met several years by coincidence at a local Williamsburg eatery where Chelsea worked and Sean stopped in her restaurant to grab a bite with friends.  Little did he know that he would meet the love of his life.  Sean was a long way from his home town in New Jersey and was attending the College of William and Mary pursuing in a degree in Kinesiology while also becoming an up and coming football star.

A romance blossomed between the two of them and through seven years of dating and courtship Sean proposed at Christmas with the absolute sweetest and time consuming wedding proposal.  He had gift wrapped several varying sized boxes within one another until she open and saw the last and smallest gift wrapped box and a lovely ring box was tucked inside with the MOST beautiful ring that Chelsea had ever seen.

She immediately said YES.

Sean’s football career was also in high gear and was first drafted by the Dallas Cowboys and now calls the beloved San Diego Chargers his home team.  These two love living in California and traveling with their beloved and very spoiled Rhodesian Ridgeback, Zeus.  

Since living in California, Chelsea and Sean enlisted the talented Shay Rybin from Pinch of Charm Wedding to orchestrate all of their rustic elegant wedding plans.  Shay and her lovely team along with the vision of Chelsea, created the most beautiful and romantic wedding filled with gorgeous blooms, wine barrels, and rustic glam touches this Southern bride could wish for.  While we were captivated by all of the beautiful wedding details, Marcus Williams of Intellect Media and Jeff Bristow of Colonial DJ’s ensured that every moment was detailed and the guests were entertained and enjoying the wedding festivities.

With all of their closest family and friends in attendance including a few over the top larger than life NFL players + their gorgeous wives, everyone was overjoyed to be apart of the celebrations with Chelsea and Sean.

You can usually find Chelsea + Sean at the lake fishing, traveling to beautiful places and of course spending time with their beloved Zeus.  Together, they are a laid back couple that just love to spend time together regardless of where they are.  

Chelsea’s beauty is striking and she has one of the most gorgeous smiles, coupled with her beautiful looks she is bubbly, warm, generous, very loving and laughs easily.  She is the total package, beauty, brains and a great BIG heart.  Sean, is a quiet laid back soul, who loves the outdoors and the kind of guy that everyone gravitates towards, you just can’t help but love the guy.

Chelsea + Sean are a sentimental couple and wanted to return to Williamsburg to get married since it was the  town where they first met and feel in love. They decided upon the lovely Kingsmill Resort for the wedding venue and this beautiful resort was the perfect backdrop for their gorgeous wedding photos.

Chelsea’s stunning bouquet was created the incredible Karen of Aleen Floral Design. 

 The outdoor ceremony was breathtaking! 

They had a bag piper on hand during the cocktail hour to keep everyone entertained, they truly thought of everything for their July 4th wedding celebration! The bridal party loved having their picture taken with Lynn (the bag piper) and he played a few songs for us too!

The Kingsmill Inn, the incredible team from Pinch of Charm Weddings, Aleen Floral Design and Splendid Seating created a gorgeous reception for Cheslea and Sean that was both intimate and beautiful with the rustic touches.  The wedding cake was a crowd favorite as well! 

Their first dance was absolutely beautiful and a big thank you to Jeff Bristow from Colonial Dj’s for keeping the party going all night long! 

The fireworks display was an incredible show and everyone loved the spectacular light show, a big thank you to Dominion Fireworks!
